Hi there this is my first post so please bare with me. Just built a new computer with one ssd and one 3tb hd. So i installed windows 8.1 on the ssd. After I did the install only 2tb could be allocated. The 748 could not. There was a 350mb reserved partition attatched to the 2tb partition. After doing some research I changed the sata cables and did a re install. During the windows set up it installed 4 partitions. 100mb, 300mb, 128mb and primary ssd. I installed all of them. After this I was able to allocate my full 3tb located in disk 1. The ssd, 100, 300 are located in disk 0. But now there is no 350mb reserved partition. Just the 4 I mentioned. Every time I fix one problem another one occurs. I just would like to know if I can continue using the computer like this without the 350mb d: drive partition? I've searched and searched forums and can't find a definitive answer. What I'm trying to aim for is having c: ssd osinstalled, d: 350mb reserved and e: full 3tb allocated. Much appreciation to whom ever can help out with this issue. It's been driving me mad. I'm not sure how to attach a screen shot.

Solution
Take out the 3 TB drive until AFTER you install windows. Windows can act a little strange with multiple drives in.
The 350 MB partition is used during the install. just leave it after the install is done.

When you reinstall windows, be sure to delete all partitions on the SSD before installing.

Yup I installed windows without the 3tb plugged in already. This is the result still. I'm just wondering if I need the 350mb recovery or not?
