I have an Acer Aspire 7560G laptop which I got 2 years ago. I can run the game on it, but even on lowest settings and with everything low/off, it's unplayable.

The processor is AMD A8-3520M APU, 1.6GHz (4 core).
The graphics card is Radeon HD 6620G.
System RAM = 8GB ddr3.

The 1.6GHz CPU is under the minimum requirements of COD: Ghosts so I think that's why it can't handle the game so I'm looking for a way around since I can't replace it. Any programs or settings that might help so I'm actually able to play?

This is a problem with Redeon cards i don't know why but till now on Nvidia GT-640 OC edition of gigabyte its running just fine i'd played it my self on 1080p ultra settings and there is no lag, full details and smooth running.but on a Radeon R9 280x its lagging like hell above medium settings its even running like a slow motion movie i and my team are trying to sort this problem out as well as AMD is doing too.
I'll let you people know if there is any solution.i'd personally contacted Activision too and developers there are also trying to fix the problem rather its a driver problem or a bug in the game.

your cpu is good I suspect the video card is not good enough. What radeon hd is it? how much system ram? other than that with a laptop you got what you got there is nothing you can do to make it run. this link you can enter your specs and see. http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=7619&ga...

I updated the question, ty.

Okay, but what do you mean by "cfx it with the onboard card"? I need to get the 6670 card and then.. add it so I have 2?

i think he means cross fire the 2 cards

The 6620g is a the IGP on the first generation A8 laptop chips, you won't be able to get a new graphics card, if you want to play Ghosts on PC it's either a new laptop or a new desktop system for you. If you want to spend the least possible amount of money, your best option might be to grab an Xbox 360 or PS3, which are dirt cheap now, and play Ghosts on that.
