Okay so I had Windows 7 and I tried to dual boot it with Ubuntu and I restarted my PC and clicked to go on Windows and the top of my screen turned weird colors and wouldn't start but Ubuntu works fine. Maybe I accidently shrunk my Windows partition? Please Help me I wanted Ubuntu to be on 40 Gigs big! Please help me get windows back.

You had a screen that offered both ubuntu (at the top) and windows at the bottom, correct?

If you are using one hard drive then you had to shrink your Windows to make room for Ubuntu.Unless you used a different pre-existing partition.  If you let Ubuntu do it then there should be no damage.

Also, at the point when you choose how to install, did you choose side by side windows or "something else"? If something else what did you do?
