Guess I should start with my specs aye?

Mobo: ASrock a85x extreme 4-m (http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/FM2A85X%20Extreme4-M/)

APU: A10-6800k
Cooling: Hyper 212 Evo+2 chassis fans that came preinstalled in my corsair 200r
RAM: G.skill sniper 2133 mhz cl11

I've finally got the adequate cooling cooling to where I feel comfortable overclocking my system far past the recommend the 4.4ghz turbo boost amd recommends.

anyways I spent the majoriy of the night last night slowly overclocking everything I managed to get 5.4mhz+slight igpu overclock before I had to jump the motherboard and reset the bios and reupdate it. anyways now I got it sitting comfortable at 5.0 mhz with no gpu overclock and its humming along perfectly. at very low temps aswell.

but my problem is I don't constantly want it sitting at the 5.0 mhz therefore I have to enable APM(application power management or mode) and amd turbo core technology but when I do that with any overclock whats so ever, my prime95 tests fails in seconds just core after core and games crash after only a few seconds of playing. i can go into AMD overdrive and I can adjust the voltage slightly and everything will be fine prime95 will be successful and I can run games. but the thing is everything including cpu-z and the asrock extreme tuner show my processor running at a constant 3.8mhz and I cant adjust it no matter what including amd overdrive unless I restart.(and I cant even get AMD overdrive profiles to load at start up therefore rendering it pretty useless except for testing different settings with hardware monitors then to go edit the sitting in the bios) not that I want to use amd overdrive its just I cant figure this out. I'm not going to run my apu at a constant 5.0mhz its just not happening. please help me figure this out. is there some other way besides in the bios to make my processor run a lower frequency at idle or light loads? sorry for the long post just sharing my experience and also because this is getting extremely aggravating. thanks in advance much appreciated.

i forgot to mention the prime 95 error i'm getting is illegal sum out

Okay I got it to where I want it I think! I wouldn't mind going higher but. I actually just let the motherboard do it things loaded default uefi with no xboost did the easy oc or what ever asrock called it instead of manual i'm sitting at 4.8mhz max with a 1086 overclock on the gou. then I loaded up went into catalyst and editted the power options and set it to 2600-48000 and now its fluctuates like I want it to.

but if anyone has any tips on how I could kick this thing up high because I have had it high up to 5.4 I just couldn't figure out the voltages and was getting illegal sum out errors prime 95 every time and games crashing after only a few seconds or minutes.
