Title says it all, i want a new card. My budget is 500$, I'm currently using two monitors, one is 1080p the other one i dont know. I'm planning on getting a third one so i need something that can support that. I live in Canada so i need something that can be shipped here. A new power supply would be needed too. Anything else i should change while im at it? By the way my case side pannel is always open, is it good or bad?

Specs:
GPU: 2048MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7670
CPU: AMD FX-8120 Eight-Core Processor, 3092 MHz
Motherboard: Acer Aspire M3450
RAM: 16.0 Go Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 664MHz

The video card you have right now can support up to 3 monitors. One of them needs to be display port (if your card has it). Another way is to grab a active display port to DVI or HDMI adapter and connect that to your 3rd screen.

Is this a prebuilt system ? You should have built your own PC.

The HD 7970 also comes with 3 free games

It qualifies for the gold class award

you can't go any higher than the HD 7970, you would have to stretch your budget to get the GTX 780

The HD 7970 requires 31 amps on the 12v rail and a max wattage of 550 watts , but the Seasonic S12 II 520 watt is enough. But if you don't feel comfortable with that you could get the 620 watt version

Just checked that Acer model and it doesn't seem to have that much room for large graphic cards.
This limits the choice of which graphic card to get. Most of them mid-range types can fit, but if you get that, then might
as well keep the one you got as IMO, I don't see the point of spending money to buy another card for a slight increase in performance, because it does not make sense.
However there is a one that will fit, since it's made for ITX cases

Ok so the 7970 wont fit because of the height it will collide with 3 little wire =/ . Guess I'll have to go with the 7950. From what I can see there isnt that much of a difference right?

Judging from that picture, the board is a microATX which has a length of 9.6" After that, I assume there spot is empty as there are wires showing. At the top is the 3.5" HDD bays, they're installed perpendicular to the case. Looking at the HDD, we know that physical dimension of a 3.5" HDD is 4" wide. with that info, it's 9.6" + 4" which gives us 13.6", this coverts to 345.44mm
So yes, it will fit a HD7970
The wifi card needs to be move to the next PCIe x1 slot as the video card are double slot wide.

Those cable can be moved around, it's just for the HDD and DVD drive. They can either be tucked under the video card or over it. It doesn't matter. Just be careful with them as you don't want to snap the heads off from the motherboard connectors and damage it.
