For the family to watch shows on the 55 incher while I play games at the same time.I want this rig to last a long time and I have a requirement that the motherboard, power supply, and chassis will be able to handle anything I throw at them so that I can reuse them for 10+ years (the motherboard need only last until games require a cpu that won't fit my socket).I don't need a keyboard or operating system but I do need a monitor, headset, mouse, and speakers.I want to play games like Planetside 2,BF4,Crysis 3,and Skyrim with great fps and enough eyecandy to make PS4 and Xbox One irrelevant.EDIT.It must also allow a bluray movie to be watched while I'm playing.

Solution
Get a capture card for the streaming part (AverMedia Live Gamer Portable, I'm also getting this one or look at the Elgato Game Capture HD)

I hope budget isn't a problem because the capture card is quite expensive

Then just get a decent rig I suggest the following:

i5 4670k
GTX 780ti
8 - 16GB RAM (at least 1600MHZ) (I suggest Corsair RAM, Vengeance or Dominator)
Motherboard - Z87
A Samsung 840 Evo or Pro SSD for OS and programs
The hard drive space is up to you I recommend a 2TB since 1TB fills up quickly but 1TB is fine also can always buy more later
OS - Windows 7 or 8 (up to what you already have as you said)
PSU - Corsair 850AX or the corsair ax 1200i

The Manufacturers are up to you for mobo, GPU (EVGA, MSI, Gigabyte, Asus...

The Manufacturers are up to you for mobo, GPU (EVGA, MSI, Gigabyte, Asus, ect.) - this will depend on your budget

I can also suggest a AMD build which will just change the Mobo, GPU, CPU

AMD FX8350
Radeon/ Saphire R9280X
SABERTOOTH 990FX

Since you didn't list a budget I went pretty high end dude so let me know if you want cheaper...

Naturally your pc won't last 10+ years and still be able to run games by then but it should still run programs very well. Your CPU, Mobo and GPU will have to change in that time period.

After 3 years the GPU , after 6 or 7 your mobo and CPU, after 10 years GPU again (during that time you will possibly also have to add RAM in the rig but RAM is cheap)

For a mouse:

Razer Deathadder, Abyssus, Mamba, Ouborous
Roccat Koni XTD, Savu
Logitech G400, G700, G9X
Thermaltake Tt Esport Black
CM Storm Spawn, Recon (Don't neglect CM they are a excellent brand)
MadCatz R.A.T
SteelSeries Sensei, Xai,

For a headset there are many I will need a budget
Corsair Vengeance 1500
Steelseries Siberia V2 or the Steelseries H7
Logitech G930 or G35
Genius GX Cavimanus
Razer Kraken, Tiamat 7.1, Chimaera, Megalodon, Black Shark, Electra
Coolermaster Storm Sirus
Sennheiser PC 350, 360
Astro A40, A50
there really are too many dude

For a Monitor have a look at Dell they have some great screens otherwise check out Asus, Samsung, LG, Ben Q, Mecer, AOC, Phillips

The monitor aspect is hard because you didn't list a budget I can tell you to get a 24"/ 23.5" , a 32" , a 40" TV... the possiblities are endless with just the words I need a monitor.

I am going to suggest a pc monitor 23,5" or 24" just to be safe if you want one of the others I mentioned then I'm sorry

Dell UltraSharp U2713HM
AOC E2462VWH
Asus PA248Q

BenQ XL2411T
HP ZR2740w
AOC i2757Fm
HP x2301 Micro Thin LED monitor
Philips Brilliance 298X4QJAB
Samsung 9 Series S27B970D
Philips Brilliance 278G4DHSD

The top 3 are my recommendation

If you won the lotto get this one : HP DreamColor LP2480zx

Just get a LG Blu Ray player like this :
LG BP325 3D Bluray Player I chose 3D because you want it to last 10 years...

For speakers I suggest Logitech as a manufacturer (again you didn't list specifics this could be 2.1 speakers, 5.1, 5.1 wireless, 7.1 ) so I will let you find taht for yourself on their website.

Alternatively just buy a 5.1 surround sound set from Samsung or LG they work well too I use it myself...
