Is my ssd compatible with this motherboard?

I have recently purchased a ssd:

I wanted to know if it would be compatible with this motherboard:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131994

I also wanted to know if this motherboard would be compatible with the IEEE 1394 port in the front panel of my computer case?

Yes it is. When you go to install your OS on the new SSD, be sure to follow this tutorial. There are a few idiosyncrasies that make a SSD different than a HDD.

Thank you for the solution, but, so I can learn, how could you tell that the ssd was compatible with the motherboard? I saw that the ssd has a sata III inter-phase but I could not find that in the motherboard's specifications. All I saw was that the mother board had 6 X SATA Gb/s and SATA RAID: 0/1/5/10 under the category of storage devices for the motherboard's specifications.

You really don't have to worry about that. They are all standardized. For example: A SATA III SSD will work on a SATA II interface just fine. But at the slower SATA II speed. RAID is not an issue if you are just using a single SSD. You will set your SATA protocol to AHCI in BIOS if it isn't already.
