Buss speed drops below 100.0 on OC and stock regardless of settings.

Hey,

Setup:
750w SSeasonic Gold
Asrock z68 extreme 4 gen 3
i7 2600k

I always ran with a 4.1 to 4.2 OC on a offset of -0.010 stable and had no issues.

I recently changed GPU and PSU as my old PSU kind of exploded. Since I fixed everything and got it all running again I'm getting readings from both CPU-Z and Core Temp that my buss speed is dropping to 99.9 or 99.8 even and isn't stable. under load it goes even a lil above 100 sometimes on CPU-Z but always stays at 99.99 on Core temp.

I have no clue what is doing this, I redone my OC. Gave it more Voltage, went back to stock, reset cmos and nothing. Infact: If I go back to stock the buss speed is at 99.7 if not lower.

I have ran Prime 95 for several hours and nothing seems to indicate issues. Also intel burn test seems to give no issues besides the freezes every now and then under the high stress mode. (but that is normal with all cores in use)

Thoughts?

I know this is no cause to be alarmed as it is very little flux, but it never did this before. Just trying to be ahead of the curve if something is indeed wrong.

- It is not spreadspectrum. Without spreadspectrum it is both stable but at 97.xx which is weird and without you have what you see in the screenshots. CPU-Z changes, Core temp stats stable at 99.99

- Ace

That's completely normal. It's always done it, you just haven't noticed it before.

PLLs and clock crystals are not perfect devices. They do exhibit some jitter and variance.

Thats weird, prior to my new gear it was always a stable 100.0. Pretty sure of that.
But good to know it is not bad! I also see other people having no jitter in their vids. hmm

There's jitter in all of them, trust me on that. It just may not be enough to cause a variance in the sensor. Such a small change is still completely normal.

Thanks! I shall enjoy the OC then :)
