Hi,

I'm buying a new SSD for my laptop. Now, there's already a HDD in which there're Windows 8 (that I ever us) and Windows 7 installed.

My idea was to take off the HDD, put the SSD install in it Win7, then plug the other HDD through the caddy.

Now, I really don't know if this will work since conflicts could appear or whatever, I just don't want to loose data on the HDD. Thanks for helping.

PS: sorry for posting this if it's not the right forum

Solution
Shouldn't have any issues with that.

However if the SSD is large enough you might just want to clone the HDD over to the SSD. Saves you doing a re-install.

Glad to hear that. Yes the SSD should be large enough so I'll look for cloning the HDD as soon as the SSD arrives. Thanks.
