Help please. 2gb gddr5 vs 4gb ddr3 ?

i am looking to buy this laptop and one has 2gb ddr5 gt 750m and other has 4gb ddr3 gt 750m

so which one is better for gaming like bf4 and stuff.

need urgent help . thanks

Most of the time it does not depend on how much memory does your Gpu have but It does depend a lot on what kind of memory it has. GDDR 5 is twice as good as DDR3 momory. So a Simple answer GDDR 5 will be always better than DDR3 even if it's half than it. So 2 gb GDDR5 will be almost twice as better than DDR3 4 gb momory. So go with gt 750m which has GDDR5 momory, even if it's less.

Why are you asking the question if you're disagreeing with the answer?

You can buy DDR3 ram easy. My laptop has 16gb of it. Now gddr5, that's a different story.

Lol, I believe the OP is talking about vram not the regular ram.

I'm planning on buying the new HP Envy with either the 740M or the 750M GPUs. On the website, it does not state whether these graphics cards use DDR3 or GDDR5. Does anybody know?

Most commonly GDDR5 memory is used in Nvidia 700m series. But if you doubt it then you should call the retailer and ask him or web search about it more.
