yikes! I might've bought a CPU that has too little power

Hello all,

So I've done some post purchase research...

I have recently upgraded my pc, parts are still in the post...

Maximus VI impact
4670k
hyperx beast 2x4gb 2400 MHz
Corsair H80

Currently I also have
GTX 670 windforce
1 HDD
1 SSD
1 optical drive...

Now here's the kicker... I only purchased a 500W strider power supply... And it appears to be insufficient... meh!

Can someone please provide some insight please? I would seek to overclock this rig at some point in the future, when I feel the CPU needs a kick...

it's bo no means a cheap psu its a silverstone strider fully modular psu, the reason why i chose silverstone over something a corsair or xfx, is because of the short cables option on the fully modular PSUs...

my dilemma is the wattage on my rig...

linus built a very similar rig on youtube with a 670 gtx (he planned to use a 6990) and 3570k and he only used a 450W PSU

so just wanted to check if 500 is sufficient
