Old case question

Hello i have an 11 year old big tower (cant tell you which one because its in my apartment in a different city).
I would like to know if i could use it for my current Rig.
I've had a midi tower but its overheating a lot and i would like to use the big one.
You think the parts would suit that old case ?
I mean SSDs didnt exist back then. Well the main issue is the motherboard i guess? Or the wires?
I dont know at all , thats why im asking . Thanks

11 year old case mostly made for the old at sized motherboard.

if the case has the cutouts and placements for both at/atx mb there should be no issues. power supplys and drives been the same size for years. you may need a 3.5 to 2.5 inch tay to put the ssd in the older hard drive bay. if not there a lot of plastic zelman cases like the z9 that wont break the bank.

also dont forget about the usb ports. likely they will be usb1.

its better if you buy a new case. what is your budget?

yeah you are right. I dont have a current budget because i dont want to buy another one yet. I just wanted to replace this. But yeah it seems like it cant work

I have it since 2003...
i have a coolermaster RC-333 midi, with a GA-970A-UD3, FX 8350, Gigabyte 7870 OC, 2x4gb 1600mhz Corsair Vengeance, Corsair builder 600W, a Kingston SSD v300 120gb and a WD caviar blue 500gb .
Well now it runs ok, but i live in greece and in summer i had a 35 celsius room temperature. And all the parts in the case are so close and tight and it was like hell.
The case has only fan on the back

thats your problem. you need more than just a rear fan. fill up the front fan slots and put a side or top fan in as well.

also make sure you organize your cables so that they arent obstructing airflow.
