I changed my GPU from a GT 430 to a GTX 760, i'm using a VGA cable at the moment to try and connect to my monitor but it will not turn on. Is it because my VGA cable won't connect to my new GPU or is it the fact that I haven't updated my GPU yet but I can't do that without a screen to look on >.>

If the screen won't display an image after the GPU upgrade, I can think of 3 possibilities right away.

1. The GPU is not seated properly in the PCI-E slot. Power the system off, remove the video cables, remove the graphics card and then reinstall it. Make sure it is firmly seated this time.

2. You have not supplied the card with enough power. Make sure all 6 or 8 pin PCI-e Power cables are firmly attached to the appropriate plugs on the card and then power the system on again.

3. There is an outside chance that your card may be DOA. If it has never been able to display properly, the card might be defective. Check the 2 options above first though just to be sure.

I have similar experience but with display from igp only. I had the mobo replace thinking it was the cause and tried almost everything idea but at the end discovered it was due to a near dead cpu cause by most proably by my careless overclocking attempt.

The fans are on, I have enough wattage 650w, may it just be that i'm not using a DVI-D Port? It could be the BIOS as my mobo is old as heck (2010). Gonna try a DVI-D port and if that doesn't work, gonna have to get a new mobo, and if it doesn't work after that! I'm just gonna give up, it's been one problem after another and I all I wanted was to change 1 part. lol...

I think the BIOS is at it's latest, also there's NO WAY I can get onto the BIOS menu anyways as I don't have a screen...

This is my sucky mobo : http://www.findlaptopdriver.com/msi-2a9c-specs/http://www.findlaptopdriver.com/msi-2a9c-specs/

bios update is not like windows automatic update...you have to update it manually...

There are 0 updates for that BIOS, even check it yourself...

Remove the graphics card and try using the onboard video adapter. Your board appears to have one, so you can use that to flash the BIOS. Also double check my post above... the fans on the GPU turning on means absolutely nothing. They can be powered through the PCI-E slot itself, and complete contact in the slot is also not required for them to power up. A few pins' contact can be broken and the fans will still power up, but you'll still be left with no video on the screen.

Also try plugging your old video card back in and see what happens.

I can't...

Ok wait... why did you plug in the old video card and then try to use the onboard video adapter? That doesn't make sense. If you have a video card plugged in, then use that. If you do not have any separate video card plugged in, use the onboard device. The onboard should be automatically disabled as soon as you plug in a separate video card.
