So here is my finished parts list:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (£174.89 @ Ebuyer)
Motherboard: Asus Z87-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£105.44 @ Scan.co.uk)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£63.53 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.D 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£51.93 @ Amazon UK)
Video Card: MSI Radeon HD 7950 3GB Video Card (£174.95 @ Scan.co.uk)
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX750B BRONZE 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (£76.19 @ Dabs)
Optical Drive: HP 447326-B21 DVD/CD Drive (£23.80 @ Amazon UK)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) (£65.99 @ Aria PC

I realise that due to the i5 4670k being a quad core cpu, i'll need to oc to get the most out of it and also oc the 7950 to get the best graphics i can for BF4 etc.

Are there any reccomendations as to what to oc them to?

Also is a 750 watt PSU a bit too much? I wouldn't mind saving a bit of money!

You can run that setup pretty comfortably on a 500W PSU before you start going nuts with OCing, at 750W you can run crossfire HD7950s.

What you will be able to overclock your processor to, and how much power it'll pull, is a bit of a lottery, but it's probably going to be an increase of 50W+. A lot of your potential is going to depend on the cooler you use, the case, conditions, and a bit of luck with the chip itself.

Odd HDD choice btw, you can get a better quality 1TB drive for that price (Seagate Barracuda/WDCaviar Blue 1TB are both ~£45)

You don't need to overclock the i5-4670k... And you'd be good with a 550/650W modular psu.
