First time overclocking help

Well, i finally built my first pc and everything went great. problem is i never overclocked in my life so im afraid if i touch anything something bad will happen. how can i overclock my cpu?

CM Storm Hyper 212 EVO
8gb Corsair RAM
Gigabyte GA-970a d3p
Sapphire Radeon hd 7950 w/ boost
600w Corsair

and i wanna overclock because i wanna know how to do it for future use
