Hi,
I live in India so electricity is not regular. I need to make sure my power backup can handle my pc.

Motherboard: MSI 990FXA-GD65

GRAPHIC CARD: MSI 280X

RAM : Corsair Vengeance® — 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (2 x 4 GB) (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9R)

PSU: Seasonic S12II 620 Watts PSU

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB Desktop Internal Hard Drive (ST1000DM003)

CD READER: LG GH24NS71/GH24NS72/GH24NS95 Internal Optical

What will my power consumption (watts) be in the following cases:
1) CPU FX 6300 + STOCK FAN (LOAD/GAMING)
2) CPU FX 6300 + HYPER 212 EVO (LOAD/GAMING + OC)
3) CPU FX 8320 + STOCK FAN (LOAD/GAMING)
4) CPU FX 8320 + HYPER 212 EVO (LOAD/GAMNG + OC)

Thanks

Solution
Motherboard: MSI 990FXA-GD65: 38 W
CPU: AMD FX 8320: 101+ W depending on magnitude of overclock
GRAPHIC CARD: MSI R9 280X: 229 W
RAM: DDR3 Memory Kit (2 x 4 GB): 6.3 W
HDD: Desktop Internal Hard Drive: 10 W
Optical Drive: Internal DVD Rewriter: 32 W
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master HYPER 212 EVO: 2.64 W
Case Cooling Fans: 13 W

Max. System Power Consumption: 432 W

Seasonic S12II Bronze 620W @ 88% conversion efficiency: 491 Watts at the PSU's AC power plug

than open the manual of every component & start counting the wattage required. If you are putting the exact amount of psu required than your rig will suffer.

Remember more is better!

Hell no. That Seasonic S12 II Bronze 620W is far better. That VS series PSUs are the worst of Corsair. AX series are the best of Corsair

A little more than what i expected. If i may ask, how did you calculate these approx. I thought that the 280x uses less energy?
Thanks
