Processor's clock speed

Can somebody tell me why intel does not make laptop ghz above 2.5 or in desktops make 4ghz ( I know you can get 4+ ghz by overclocking but that's another thing

the more ghz means faster processing & a low clock speed cpu will bottleneck a high end gpu & some games are not gpu hungry they are cpu whores i.e gta 4 & battle field 4 & lots of other games require quad cores

It's not all about ghz or clock speed.

Intel's architecure and performance per core is much better than AMDs. So they don't need as high clock speed to get the same performance out of a single core as AMD does.

For example, take a bulldozer FX 4100 @ 3.6 ghz and compare it to an intel i5 3570k @3.4 ghz. There's no contest at all, the intel destroys it at absolutely everything even with lower clock speed. Why? Because the bulldozer architecture was terrible and the intel's ivy bridge is much much better, getting much more performance per core. Even if you lowered the clock speed of the intel to 2.5ghz I'm still willing to bet it would win.

However, the piledriver FX did make up for bulldozers losses. Still not up to intel in performance per core, but a very viable price;performance option, especially the 6300 / 8320.

where did Amd come from in this thread I didn't say Intel vs Amd & I've always used Intel cpus & Nvidia discrete dedicated cards & a corei5 easily whooped a Amd bull dozer which is known as fail dozer now it had 8 cores

I personally perfer Amd for people who cannot affrod a pci-e gpu cause Amd's IGP's are much better then the Intel HD ones I think we all know why is that because Amd owns a graphic card company ''Amd radeon'' which was formerly known as ATI

Okay I need some knowledge on other things to question is windows 8 still got bugs? I know the 8.1 does though but what win 8 is it staple now ? & I'm buying a new motherboard for a Corei5 2500k & 8gb dd3 corsairor g.skill ram there are two motherboards in my eyes which both support I series processors P8H61-M LX B3 & P8H61-M LX R2.0 they are both by asus but one is win 7 ready & one is win 8 ready what do they mean by that I mean I've even seen a pentium 4 run win 8

I guess why windows 8 gives more fps in games is cause microsoft removed the aero theme from it & which can be easily disabled in win 7
