Okay, so I've had a problem with my headset for quite a while now. It's a Roccat Kave. I've had it for about 3 years now, the problem started about 4 months ago.

The Right-Center speaker plays audio very quietly, while the rest work fine. I'm pretty sure it's because of a frayed connection inside the wire coating, as if I twist it around enough I can get it to work temporarily, until it moves the tiniest bit. Since then I've ignored it, and just moved on. However, I miss the surround sound, and recently I started using Overwolf. When I use the browser on overwolf, all speakers seem to work fine, I get balanced audio out of both sides of the head set. (It's a 5.1 surround, each slider on the physical and virtual control panel is set to an equal position) But when listening to audio from chrome, windows media player, foobar, and other programs the right center speaker does not work.

Fixing what I think the problem is would require stripping the coating, and I don't really want to do that. I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience, and knows why it works well with overwolf's browser, and not other applications, and if they knew a way I could make it work like this via all apps using an external program or something.

Thanks.
