Hi all,

I've this Acer with XP and it runs very slow. I just want to watch videos on Youtube and send some mails. Videos stutter somhow and the new accounts design are awfully ressources demanding eventhough I upgraded the Ram to the maximum and there's no way to change the processor.

So if you guys could advice me some Linux OS that would be great.

PS: I've tried Slitaz but it was too unstable, and Youtube didn't run well.

I would recommend LinuxLite, it's not too resource intensive and can do any basic work and some more complex things aswell.

Ok so I've tried LinuxLite and for some reason, the graphic desktop had major issues (I could see only half of it and didn't display well) as long as XPud, and a couple of others distrubutions. Then I went for Lubuntu 13 and it's working flawless.

I have never had that issue although its not unheard of for a Linux distro to not be 100% compatible. Either way, glad to see you got something that fits.

Well I'm not an OS expert, so what can you expect from me on Linux? Nothing Lol. However except some functions as backlight control or the Caps lock that aren't working, the Lubuntu 13 is just the best thing I seen for the Acer AO751h that I've,
I mean it's very fast, no lags while I'm on the internet, the menu is similar (in some ways) to Windows, beautiful blue desktop. I would recommend it to anyone how's looking for some OS that have to be light.
