Guys, I have recently inherited a box full of hard drives. In which I found a couple of 2 TB drives :D  . However, some of the drives seem tampered with where the sticker on top is broken to get to the screws underneath. I don't know if the previous person tried to disassemble or open the hard drive or what?

I have a brand new rig that I set up as my old system died a couple of months ago. My question is, what is the chance that I will damage my PC if I connect the hard drives to test them out (If they happened to be tampered with or damaged?).

I have a fairly decent PSU, Corsair TX 650 as when I built my rig I didn't want to skimp on any part of my PC, especially something as important as the PSU.

Will these drives damage my PC or at least my PSU if they are faulty? Too scared to test.
