So I updated my GPU to a GTX 660 from the predecessor 650.Now I when I play minecraft I only get 80-90 fps. When I had the 650 I got 350-400 fps.How and why is that.If you wanna know my pc specs then ask and I will will put in the description.

Solution
...okay, well, first of all, it's probably just a driver error or something, or else minecraft detected the better GPU and increased its settings.

Second, running at 3-400 fps is absolutely horrible, because it's taxing the GPU and producing a lot of heat for absolutely no reason.

Your monitor can (most likely) not display anything more than 60fps... which means running a little above that so you don't dip below it is fine, but running at 400 fps is wasteful and possibly harmful to the computer.

I think that what's happening here is that you're getting a more accurate fps reading. I can't think of any card that runs at 400fps. I think that there was a problem with the readings you had. After all, 80-90fps is beyond what is referred to as "perfect".
