task manager wont work for me (need help)(WindowsXP home)

This task manager disabled by admin., Problem is driving me nuts!! I tried using regedit to open task manager an that doesn't work. I don't know what to do anymore I cleaned my computer three times an the problem Im explaining is still happening plus there seems to be running internet ads when I slide the wave/mp3 slider up as if my volume has been infected...Understand I have tried everything to combat this problem!! I just wanna listen to my music without issue!!

Edit: The control + alt + delete method doesnt work for me!!

Okay first off, Windows XP and Windows 2000 are two different operating systems. Second, regedit isn't used to open task manager, it is used for editing the registry, as the name would suggest. To open task manager you do control alt delete and pick task manager. Third, pretend we don't know what your actual issue is, and describe what the problem you're having actually is. And fourth, pretend we also don't know what steps you tried so far and actually describe them instead of just saying you did "everything".
