660 TI Safe Idle Temp?

Hi guys,

I have a reference EVGA 660ti SC. My idle temperatures are around 43 degrees and the fan is automatically setting itself to 30% (the minimum). Is this a safe idle temperature?

Yes it is, it really is the load temp that matters.

The Default fan speed profile leaves it at about 75 under load with the fan at 50%. I use Precision X so I can make a custom speed profile if this is too hot

It is fine the upper limit is what matters max temp for the card is 97°C so no worries until it climbs into the 80's. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-660ti/specifications
