I am planing on buying a build for the next year, but I am unsure if to buy an AMD graphics card, or a Nvidia one. I feel nvidia because of G-Sync, which sounds fantastic, but amd is slighly cheaper and has mantel. Which one should i get?

Solution
AMD isn't slightly cheaper, it's significantly cheaper. We're talking cards that cost up to $150 less than their nVidia equivalents. Depending on your budget, I would recommend a Radeon R9-290 for $400. It trades blows with the $500 GTX 780 despite only costing $400. By next year, there will be third-party cooling solutions available which will not only make the card cooler and quieter, they will also make it more powerful. Based on the current GPU industry landscape, the most you should pay is $550 for the R9-290X as nVidia has nothing that can outright beat it. According to [H]ardOCP, the $700 GTX 780 Ti is incapable of offering a better gameplay experience than the R9-290X, despite costing $150 more to buy. Again, by the new...

Again, by the new year, you'll see third-party cooling solutions and factory overclocked R9-290X cards which will only make it better, possibly even better than the GTX 780 Ti. Here's the lowdown:

So you see, any penny spent more than $550 is a waste. If both of these cards are over your budget, well, you should have posted your budget....lol
