I would like to be able to play Arkham Origins on my computer with the game’s graphics/effects at their highest settings. Please let me know which graphics card I should buy. You can even use this handy price/performance comparison page here listed at this same website:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-8.html

Here is the system information on my computer: http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/hp-pavilion-p7-1510/4507-3118_7-35656322.html

HP Pavilion p7-1510

Dual Core - 3rd Gen Core i3,
Intel 3 i3-3220 / 3.3 GHz

8 GB DDR3 SDRAM - Non-ECC
There is another slot to add another 8 GB if I want.

Thanks.

First of all, it have to be nvidia, origins is optimized for nvidia graphic cards.
Gtx770 should be enough for origins on ultra (and alot of other games on ultra).
Good luck on your hunt :)

Your computer only has a 300 watt power supply unit which will not power a Nvidia Gtx 770. You will have to buy a new power supply unit as well. Here is some benchmarks for Batman Arkham Origins

OK. Would you please recommend a compatible power supply? Do you agree with the other guy that, "Gtx770 should be enough for origins on ultra (and alot of other games on ultra)." ?

Yes a Nvidia GTX770 will be enough for playing Batman in ultra and yes a lot of other games. Maybe a Nvidia GTX760 will be enough. It does depend on your budget and what you want to spend.
You are talking about playing in 1920x1080 resolution?
A good quality 600 watt PSU will be fine for the GTX770. If you tell me how much you want to spend on a PSU i'll recommend one for you:)

Corsair HC 650W was recommend by this site, it's not cheap (last time I checked), but it got 7 years warranty.
770 only needs 600W though this one offer 650W

OK, so how much is not cheap? Do you have a link to the Corsair HC 650W? The GTX770 pricing is fine for my budget, and being able to play on ultra is what I want. :)

The Corsair HC 650W doesn't exist, I think the guy meant the Corsair Professional Series HX+ 650W. Currently it is listed as £91.74inc. vat here

http://www.ebuyer.com/392052-corsair-hx-80plus-gold-certified-modular-power-supply-650w-cp-9020030-uk

A review of this is here

http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Corsair-HX650-Gold-Power-Supply-Review/1705/1

I would recommend the Antec 620W High Current Gamer PSU - 80plus Bronze which is £71.49inc. vat. It's listed here

http://www.ebuyer.com/246651-antec-620w-high-current-gamer-psu-80plus-bronze-13-5cm-fan-3x-0761345-06209-1

A review for the Antec is here

It's your choice, they are both great PSU's. The Antec is actually made by seasonic which are the best power supply makers I know of.

OK. Looks great so far. So, my computer, and its other specs can handle the 620 Watt Antec or 650 Watt Corsair? I only need to upgrade the power supply and that will support at GTX 770? Here are my computer's specs again: http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/hp-pavilion-p7-1510/4507-3118_7-35656322.html

Just want to be sure. Also, I've never installed a power supply into a computer. With instructions, can a person who is comfortable with computers and at an intermediate level install the power supply?

Yes, it's the easiest part if building a computer (my experience) it only takes time to make it look good, something that won't be a problem.
It should work fine with new power supply and graphic card.

OK, two questions. Based on my computer's specs (disregarding my need for a better power supply) what's the highest grade NVIDIA card at this link that my computer can use? http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-8.html

Also, based on the highest grade of NVIDIA card my computer can use, which power supply do I need?

Thanks again. I appreciate your help.

Though I find your computer specs unclear and would like to know the motherboard before giving you an answer, I see it runs W8 which means it's not an old computer and I don't see any reason why shouldn't be able to run 780-690.

Then again, I can't say anything for certain before I know the motherboard.

690 ned 125 more W
780: 250
690: 375

Good news, the PCI express x16 is compatible with the GeForce series.
There is no "normal" graphic cards that don't support PCI express x16 any card from nvidia and amd would work.
690 would need more Watt than 780, but there is no game (so far) that 780 wouldn't be able to run on ultra on a 2k monitor (if you don't have a 2k monitor you should get one, without it you will only see half as much as you could.)

OK. Well, now you are talking about a monitor and I don't have the funds to go that direction. Maybe one day. So, with my current motherboard, with the PCI Express x16, in order to use the GTX 770, I'd still need a different power supply? And that would be the Antec 620 or Corsair 650 as mentioned in this forum, correct?

Yes you'll still need the power supply unit. The Antec 620 or Corsair 650 are my recommendations but it's up to you. I am currently using an Antec though and it's the best and quietest power supply unit I have had in 15 years :)

If you go for 780, yes.
If you go for 690 (not recommended), no, then you will need one with higher Watt.

OK. I am considering the GTX 770, not 780. I don't even see a 780 graphics card?
So, for the GTX 770, based on my motherboard, I will need a different power supply. The Corsair 650, was it? Or the Antec 620?

I meant 770, it's just a typo.
Yes, PCI-e x16 support 770.
Both wil give you enough Watt, I've heard the HX 650 is very quiet (my friend recommends it) if you care about that sort.
You need at least 600W so both will give you extra Watt to use.
