FX-6300 or FX-8350?

Hello, I am looking to upgrade my CPU and I was thinking about the FX-6300 but I don't know how big of a step from a AMD Phenom II x4 945 that would be. Would it be a better choice to go for the FX-8350? I have a pretty tight budget, is the extra $80 worth it?

See for your self, the 8350 might be a little more "future proof" and it also OCs very good if i'm correct, So thats all up to you, personally i would.

As you can see by the CPU Mark numbers... from Phenon to 6300 it's about a 70% increase in performance while the 8350 is about a 70% increase over the 6300... I'd say that's worth the extra $80 dollars... after all, the Phenom II 945 sold for around $180? and you'd be paying about $199 for the FX-8350... a $19 dollar difference for roughly 2.4 times the performance... and for the 6300 it's a 70% jump from the Phenom for $60 less.

AMD Phenom II X4 945 $180 = Average CPU Mark 3740
AMD FX-6300 Six-Core $120 = Average CPU Mark 6402
AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core $199 = Average CPU Mark 9081
