Hello, I am planning on building my new computer and would like to know what you guys think about it, should I buy better parts or are they sufficient enough to run a decent gaming PC?

CPU: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 BE Processor

CPU Fan: Stock

Motherboard: ASUS M4A78LT-M LE

GPU: ASUS GeForce 560 Ti

HDD: Hitachi 1TB

Optical Drive: LG GH24NS90 24x DVD Rewriter

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) 1600MHz

Case: CiT Vantage

PSU: CoolerMaster GX Bronze 650W

Should I be able to play modern games on atleast medium settings using a 1920 x 1080 resolution?
I am new to these forums but I can already see that it has a great community.
Thanks

Thanks I had a look at that processor, do you have any experiance with this processor? the reviews indicate that I may have to buy a heatsink, can you recommend any for the case if I may need one? as this case is small I may barely fit a 15cm fan in there.

Thanks,

Well its not bad but, it depends how much you are going to pay for this. Even if you should be able to play in medium settings with this, it might be expensive for what it can give you. now if you are paying less than $400 for this its okey. But if you are paying $500-600 or more, its not good.

Yes, you'll need a new heatsink because of the OCing. However, I am Intel oriented and have no experience with AMD CPUs. It'd be good if some can advise you for the heatsink options

Hmm I might want to over clock to get maximum performance, I am thinking of purchasing the Xigmatek CAC-SXHH3-U06
( http://www.amazon.co.uk/Xigmatek-CAC-SXHH3-U06-SD1283-Cooling-System/dp/B00432M068/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top ) as it is small enough to fit inside the case and the reviews indicate it is pretty good at cooling. I should be paying around $450 for the system which I suppose isn't that bad, I am impressed with the case as is only $45 and it has a good cooling systems with 4 120mm fans and looks pretty good, the only down side is that it is pretty small but I'll have to work around that.

Thanks,

That sounds really good, do you think I should be able to play battlefield 4 on medium settings or even high at 1080p? I doubt the 660 would be able to do that though, thanks a lot.

Pretty Decent system. If your planning an upgrade I recommend a new Graphics card. AMD's new mantly technology to rival DirectX seems to be becoming popular with BF4 players. So if you have money to burn. A new graphics card or two might not be a bad idea.

If I may counter that. Put in that little extra money for the 660ti. Alot better and not too much dearer.

Hmm, I just purchased the PC, I think I'll stick the the 560 Ti for now but if the performance is not good enough for Battlefield 4 do you think if I purchased another 560 Ti for a 2 way SLI it'll handle it? I heard the performance from that is similar to a 580.

Thanks,

Yea but a 580 even a 680 may only handle medium or high on BF4 with some lag. If I were you I would update as the 660ti is pretty well priced (140 euro or dollars) and then next year get another or even a 760 then youll be with the current gen persay.

You are fine atm. Next year there will be maxwell release, so don't bother with current gen.
