So here is the deal, i have been going on crazy for a week now, i m building a new tower with an i5 4670K, Asrock fatal1ty performance H87. As you can see its mainly for gaming and internet surfing. I m thinking in buying the Corsair Vengeance pro kit of 2x4Gb for now to coupe with the mobo colors.

the thing is i can't seen to make up my mind in which frequency/ Latency to choose of this kit all i know its that i read somewhere over the internet that 1,65v stick may fry my CPU so i don't want to risk it not going for an stick over 1.5v.

So please i beg help me chose one frequency and give a little explanation on the matter of why that one, because i did the math and i don't get it how 1ns is so important. Also any advice on what GPU will be appreciated max resolution 1920x1080 games like assassin's creed and stuff.

BY the way i will not be doing any OC in any near future.

I thank you all in advance to all for taking the time to answer this and for sharing your knowledge.

Have you already bought the mobo? I ask because you say no OC in the 'near' future...if any plans to OC at all my want to swap out the H87 chipset mobo and get a Z87 mobo - for this though, 1600 is your max DRAM so something like the Gskill Snipers in 1600 would be a good pairing, for a GPU you don't list a budget so at $250 or so look at the Asus 760 CU, $300 or so the Asus 280X CU or give us a rough budget

Yeah i know that H chipsets never OC the CPU until now, this MB breaks that rule and i have seen it, look it up its all over, this H87 actually allows you to OC your CPU which is why i got the K serie from intel and also lets you OC your RAMs which is why i bought it to test it, plus it was cheaper than an Z87. No i haven't listed a budge for the GPU because i will just get one if its good regardless the price, as long as it works on my resolution and doesn't do more than what i need i won't look at the price.

Now that you guys know what this MOBO is capable of doing, does this change what DDR3 i should be getting? Because i can OC in the future if intel doesn't update the bios which it hasn't so far.

yeah i was thinking in getting the vengeance PRO series, i like the design and goes better with my MOBO and i belive the differences in Latency won't be too noticeable in gaming

we know that H87 model can OC. Z87 is much better for OCing though, more stable, higher quality. I recommend Z87 over H87 if you want to do any kind of overclocking.

See how close your nearest Microcenter is..http://www.microcenter.com/site/stores/default.aspx
Microcenter has the cheapest prices on CPUs in combination with motherboard bundles.

If you want to really be prepared for any future games, which are starting be made in 64-bit, I have a feeling if you want to do any mods you will need more than 8GB of RAM. At the moment 8GB will be fine, but the near future may be different with the new consoles and 64-bit games becoming more common.

My 16GB recommended kit. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231628&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

As fore Z87s this my quick 3 pick .. Im sure someone else will have some good suggestions.
