I'm planning for a new build.
I wont overclock and I'll use this build for 3d modeling-rendering in 3dsmax and gaming.

Which one is better for rendering?
4770 or 3770k? is there any benchmarks?
Do I need a more powerful fan for a 4770 build?

Solution
The stock cooler is sufficient if you don't overclock. It may make some noise on a hot day, but it'll run fine.

For overclocking, you'd need a better cooler.

The 4770 and 4770K are practically identical when the 4770K is not overclocked.

Thanks for your clarification. So a bundled air cooling is enough for 4770.
But do I need an after market cooler If I do some overclocking (not much) on 3770k?

I saw a tomshardware benchmark for 3770k and 4770k but when it comes to 4770 I don't know how much is it better and even I doubt if 4770 outperforms a 3770k in rendering. Is there any related benchmark?

No, not entirely identical. But so damn close that the difference really does not matter. You can safely use a stock 4770K as an approximation of a 4770, or vice versa.

Yes, Intel disables some of these features in unlocked (k) versions, just like 3770k and 3770 but that doesn't differ for most of users.

In Addition 4770k is 3.5Ghz at stock while 4770 is 3.4Ghz, again just like 3770k and 3770.
