i3 VS i5 for gaming?

I currently own an intel core i3 2130 and I was wondering if it would be worth the 200$ to upgrade to an ivy bridge i5? I mainly play games on steam and browse the internet etc, I don't really do anything with rendering or photoshop etc.

What is your setup right now. The i3 isn't terrible. Pair it with a strong GPU.

Radeon HD 7770
Pretty much are the bare specs.
