Both boards have similar features. I have not had problems with either company.

The gigabyte has more analog audio ports, but this may not matter unless you are using 5.1(or greater) with a mic and line in as well on your computer. If you are not this is NOT a selling point.
Gigabyte appears to add a IDE port, This may be useful for running a pair of old drives(HDD or Optical drive)

The Asus board has a spot for a PCI-E X1 card above the PCI-E X16 slot This is usable even if you install a video card, while on the gigabyte a video card may cover the pci-e x1 slot.
Asus also tosses in optical audio out if this is something you would like to use.

On paper Asus specs the board for good upto 140 watt cpus having that may be an advantage...

I have the Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 with the FX 6300 at 4.7 GHz & the Corsair H80, and recently tried 5 GHz on it and it was stable at that and at really any speed, and its got a heatsink on the VRMs, so there is no worry about running an FX 8350 on it.

As for the Asus, its a simple low-end board, but unlike the Gigabyte, it has no heatsink on the VRMs.

Id go with the gigabyte, as its super stable and reliable.

I do not think either board stands out way in front of the other, but I slightly prefer the layout on the Asus board.
