This will be my first attempt at building a gaming pc with the money i earned working over the summer. I mainly spend my time on my computer either doing school work or gaming MMORPG's and RTS's. My main question is if everything will work together, and if this is a optimal build. Thank you in advance for you assistance.

Go with this, it's much better. Also, If you want to stay to a budget of $2300, swap out the two 780's for a single 780 ti or two 770's.

P.S. I would go with three monitors. Two would seem awkward.

You won't see that much of a difference but for future proofing the I7 is better, if you have the money (which you do)
