I just got a Gigabyte 660 GPU. The GPU requires a 6 pin connector. I have a OCZ ZT 550w FULLY MODULAR power supply. The PCI-E slot is 8 pin on the PSU. For whatever reason. i thought that I would have the cords when I bought the GPU but I didn't and my modular cables are not here with me at college. Can you guys please link me to the correct cord at newegg. I cannot seem to find it and this is more frustrating then it should be.

TLDR: Newegg link please to a cord that on one side that has 8 pins that connects to my power supply and on the other side has 6 pins that connects to my video card. Pretty much I need a modular cable that was included in my power supply but I dont have with me in college.

Solution
yes get that sata to molex and then you can use the provided 6pin adapter to your video card.

The 5 pins cable must be order through OCZ
the reason why people can't just buy a random cable is because each psu is design differently. This mean the cables for your Ocz psu will not work with my Antec and vice versa.

Newegg won't have the cords you're looking for as they're specially made by OCZ themselves. You will need to contact OCZ to get those cords.
Also the cords is suppose to come with the PSU. Do you have any molex connectors on your PSU now?
If yes, then you can use this.

That adapter should also come with your video card as most will include it.

Here is the SATA version

My power supply does not have a molar connector. My GPU came with a 6 pin connector that plugs into the GPU and returns out two male molex connectors.

I think i may have found a cord. Do you think this would work? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812706033

The supplied adapter from your video card is a 2x female molex to 6 pin PCIe connector.
Does your power supply have 2 of this?

Does your power supply 2 available SATA connectors?

The item you link will not work with your PSU because it won't fit, the order shapes are different.
The cables must be order through OCZ.

The supplied adapter from my video card is 2x male molex to 6 pin PCIe i believe. This is one exactly like it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812887001

My power supply does not have any molex connections but it does have 3 SATA spots open. It looks like the SATA way is my only option which means I have to get a SATA method. However I do not have the 5 pin SATA connectors that came with my power supply and I only have 1 SATA spot left open(it has 3) on the current SATA wire with my hard drive and dvd drive taking up the other two.

Am I able to get another 5 pin connector off Newegg or is that also custom made by OCZ? And would this work since I have one SATA plug-in I can use and I need 2 molex to plug into? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812226018

Thanks for your help by the way. I had no idea I couldn't just find a random cord for my modular psu.

Yeah that makes a lot more sense now and I understand why it was so frustrating I couldn't find the right cords on newegg because they aren't there!

Will the SATA cord be able to handle my Gigabyte 660 and my 8mb, 3gb/s, 7200rpm internal hard drive as well? I will probably plan on using this replacement adapter for 2 months when I go back home to get the real cord.
