My system config at this time is the following:
HP ENVY Phoenix i5-3570 3.4Ghz with 24GB RAM, 600W power supply, Windows 8 [ not upgraded to 8.1 yet ] AMD Radeon HD7670 w 1GB RAM. HP 23" 1080P LED display.

I am debating on whether to upgrade my graphics card to the NVidia EVGA GTX 760 w 2 GB RAM which seems to be really good card.

Or passing this onto my son and buying a Cyberpower, iBuypower or XOTIC based on there ratings. Budget is $1000.00

Solution
Yeah they sure do :|

If you're not gonna bother with a new PSU, this 7950 requires only two 6 pins :D

That's definitely a good enough system to upgrade the graphics card so no real need to go for an entirely new build

The question is what's the amp reading on the +12v rail of the PSU? have a look inside the case at the PSU sticker

A Radeon 7970/280x will do you justice in BF4 and other future releases

If it's just a regular fairly crappy OEM "600W" PSU then consider replacing that as well

thanks for the fast response.

The reading on the 12V is as follows:
+12Va 18amp
+12Vb 18amp
+12Vc 12amp
+12Vd 10amp

will check out the Radeon 7970 / 290X

Hi back again. After much information from you, doing some further research etc I have decided to go with the "Gigabyte R9 270X GDDR5-2GB 2xDVI/HDMI/DP OC Graphics Card (GV-R927XOC-2GD)" Also reading reviews on Amazon helped especially when a couple of reviewers mentioned running BF4 so I know this will handle COD Ghosts with no issues. Now just waiting for the big shopping days coming up to see the price drop from $199.00. But if the holiday prices are good maybe the Rp280x may be an outside choice, now at $319.00.

thanks again for you help. marking this closed

By the way reading this gave me a better understanding http://toptengamer.hubpages.com/hub/Best-COD-Graphics-Card#
