Hello. Just about a week ago I got my radeon powercolor 7870 myst edition in the mail. I was glad to see it was a big improvement and has played games with ease getting far more fps than my old card. for that little while i was using VGA since my hdmi port on my tv went out and thats all i had. now i finally got a new tv and hdmi will not work. I tried 3 tv's on one I almost got it to work, it would flash blue every few seconds, with another it simply does nothing, sometimes it will display bios. and with the last one it just flashes over and over or does nothing. VGA works great on all of these, I'm using a dvi to vga adapter. also when using a dvi to hdmi adapter it does not work either. anyone have any clue what's going on, It might be drivers, I'm not 100% sure that these problems exist during boot (before drivers are started) I would really hate to send the card back, its just a big hassle to deal with.

Try using HDMI cable version 1.4
Connect HDMI cable directly from video card to your TV, do not use any adapters.
Make sure the correct HDMI source is selected if the TV has multiple HDMI ports

Well it turns out it was a bad cord, it now refuses to work with anything. so I'm running fine now with a different cord and most everything is fine.

I have no clue if this is a gpu or tv thing or just some random issue but my monitor is a tv and its model is LC22OEM1 from Emerson. I have not tested to see if this problem happens with vga but when using hdmi in order to run at 60Hz my resolution has to be 1280x720, if you go to 1360x768 it goes to 30Hz. is there a fix, or what is the source of the problem?

Thanks for the help.
