I have (what I think is) terrible ping on games most of the time. So the thing is, I am walking around in games and all of a sudden, I instantly teleport back from lag. Idk if this is normal but it is quite annoying. BTW I'm playing wireless and I am wondering if playing on Ethernet would help. I notice that the webpages aren't affected by this but I may just be accustomed to it.

Hey guys, thanks for all the replys I plan on going to wired ethernet. I have tried doing this myself before by running s cox cable through my attic but it was way too complicated for a simpleton like me. Can anybody tell me the price range at which I could get an electrical man or something to move my router to the other side of the house?

Try lowering your MTU settings on your Wireless Router. You might be experiencing speed drops randomly because of higher MTU.

and also when they come out make sure they test your connection at the outside box or the next closest reelay outside your house. My friend is a cable installer and a few bas connectors outside can really degrade your internet. just call and complain and offer the techa couple of bucks and that should grease the wheels of a faster and more stable Internet connection.
