So i built a new system on the October of 28th i will link the specs if they are relevant to troubleshooting http://pcpartpicker.com/user/GamingGuru93/saved/2Bal. Anyway today i was testing a roxio game capture hd pro it was plugged into one one of the back motherboard usb ports and plugged the other end into the roxio then unplugged it. i immediately left the room to go to the washroom but saw in my peripheral vision the room was darker so i turned around and saw a black screen for a millisecond and saw a blue screen that said windows has stopped working and will now turn off to prevent damage and then it rebooted now that was 30 minutes ago and i have not encountered it again but i am worried that their might be a issue so i figured i would make the form right away and see if their is cause for alarm or me unplugging the usb port just caused a minor malfunction either way thanks for reading any help would be much appreciated sorry for the detail i wanted to make it very clear what happened.

Well BSOD's are not uncommon and may have been caused by you unplugging the USB device with drivers for it running somewhere. Just keep an eye on it.

USB are live electrical (power) and data connections. If you can use the safely remove hardware feature to "eject" the device use it. When you pull a USB plug it can cause a brief electrical arc. If the external device has a way to shut it off before unplugging do it. You can also wait until the system has shut down to disconnect.
