My Setup:- mobo asus p8z77 v pro / in a 800D case for dual boot.
1. Intel 520 – 180 SSD for OS7 64 premium & apps (first choice boot) /
2. Samsung 840 – 120 SSD for XP pro (second choice boot) /
3. DVD drive /
4. HDD 2TB for main storage /
5&6. 2x older HDD for music and photos /
7. eSATA module

Mobo has 4x intel Z77 SATA 3Gb/s, 2x intel Z77 SATA 6Gb/s, 2x Asmedia SATA 6Gb/s
So,
I take it the SSDs get the intel 6Gb/s slots, there are 4 hot swap bays which could get the 4 intel 3Gb/s slots but then this is where my confusion starts with DVD and the 2 other HDD’s and the eSATA module on the back of the case (which I cant actually see myself using, but then Murphy’s Law kicks in)
Can someone please steer me straight.

(NB: if it's not possible to use XP with a SSD, will put OS XP on the 250MB HDD but then what to use the 120GB SSD for?)

You need connect the two SSDs to the intel SATAIII ports for best performances, the rest you can connect to either intel SATAII or Asmedia SATAIII.

You can use the winxp on the ssd. I did use it.
