Hey im about to build my own computer and i dont know whats better for my storage.
I was going to get an SSD to put there my OS and all system important thing and to get an HDD to put there all my other data but today my friend told me that it is faster if I get 2 HDDs and make a raid.
Which of the options is better?(I have enough money to buy the SSD)
Sry if i made grammar mistakes im a bit sick and please no confusing high tech language.

Solution
swane your friend is wrong. hard drives have a platter that spins at 7200 or more rpm. this moving platter causes hard drives to have a fix data rate for reads. ssd dont have any moving parts. right now the speed limit on a ssd is the sata chipsets and the controllers and the ram that used in ssds. a new pc with a ssd can boot up in under 5 sec.

an SSD should be able to read at 500MB/s or more.
a HDD should read at up to 200MB/s, and in a 2HDD-RAID you can double that so 400MB/s.

500 is still faster than 400. and that ignores the 2HDD-RAID latency, which can't be ignored for initial reads. so SSD wins.
