Hello,

I am getting ready to build my first rig (parts are on the way) from scratch and wanted to get a little feedback on the parts I ordered and if they will mesh together well. A little background: I am a somewhat serious gamer and I am VERY particular on image quality and obviously performance (frame rate, etc). I am looking to be playing games like Battlefield 4, Arma 3, and DayZ when it comes out and would like them to all be played at max settings. I also am looking to dabble into overclocking, but nothing crazy. So here is the rig that I pieced together. I did some shopping and by combining parts from both Newegg and Amazon I was able to save close to $200 as each had their own specials/sales. Here is my build:

Case - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Mobo - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

CPU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

CPU Cooler (fits perfectly in top of case) - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009ZN2NH6/ref=oh_deta...

GPU - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CTY84KI/ref=oh_deta...

RAM (got 16GB) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

SSD (for OS) - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009NB8WR0/ref=oh_deta...

HDD (for everything else) - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0036Q7MV0/ref=oh_deta...

PSU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

OS - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0033Z2BAQ/ref=oh_deta...

DVD Drive - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0033Z2BAQ/ref=oh_deta...

Monitor - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005BZNDS0/ref=oh_deta...

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

There is no problems that I can see. The only thing that I might do is get mabye a ultra high res screen or an eyefinity setup but that would cost quite a lot. Besides that the builds a beast

Perfect build, wouldn't change a thing except for maybe a more efficient power supply, but that is mostly because I think PSUs with LEDs are gimmicky.

Thanks for the quick replies fellas! Yea I thought about looking into higher end monitor, but I actually already have 2 of these monitors for my current setup and I gotta say the picture is pretty dang good. I was very pleased, so that's why I ended up buying a 3rd.

As the for PSU, yea I was always a bit skeptical about LED power supplies, but this one has good ratings and for the size of the case the longer wires and amount of connectors was a plus in my eyes.

Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated!

I'd try and go for a SeaSonic 650W
