I have a Dell T5400 currently configured with 2 HDD Drives in RAID 0..
I would like to install a SSD that would contain Windows, and then have the 2 HDD's set-up as single drive in RAID 0.

Is this possible with the stock Dell SAS 6/iR raid controller? How would I go about cabling this?

Solution
what harddrives are in it already?
I'm concerned that if they are SAS drives then a sata ssd wont work witht he 6/i and you would need to connect it to a motherbd port. Not that this is a problem. In fact it might be the easy solution as I dont recall the t5400 have alot of hard drive bays.

The machine came configured with 2 SAS drives.. I found the manual on-line and it states "Up to three SATA hard drives or two (internal) SAS and one SATA hard drive, one optical drive, and one floppy drive or Media Card Reader as possible fully-populated configurations."
The manual also goes onto say "NOTICE: In a mixed configuration of two SAS drives and one SATA drive, the SATA drive must be the boot (primary) drive and must go in the FlexBay"
So I guess I've answered my own question.. I'm just concerned about setting up the raid controller. I've never configured raid before.
