Acer Aspire 7741G cannot get SD/MMC (E:) drive unless I restart laptop

When inserting memory cad in card slot, I have to restart the computer for the drive to show in "my computer".

This doesn't sound like a storage issue but rather a problem with your OS. Possibly a driver issue or a service turned off, like upnp.
