I lost my wifi connection without warning getting the "no connections available" message and not being able to solve it I plugged in a second laptop with same resuluts. I then plugged in the ethernet direct from yhe Wimax modem and both laptops work fine. I bought a new router but with no improvement. So 2 laptops and 2 separate routers produce the same result...nothing on wifi, perfect on ethernet. WHY? Reward to charity offered for anyone who can help get me back on wifi.

A bit more details would be very helpful here. Do you get a signal at all? Is it strong enough? Do you "see" other wifi networks when using the assistant? Did you change the channels to less frequently used? And most important: you didn't switch of the wifi on your laptops by mistake?

were you able to connect in any way? did you try "run" then "ipconfig" to see if it has a default gate? if not then you'll need type in addition "/release" and "/renew".Unless you have so many profile configuration "/flushdns" might do the trick. Give more details!

Don't forget two (2) laptops do not connect via wifi but do with a LAN cable. Both laptops connect with wifi in a cyber cafe outside the house. So the fault is with the router? But I bought another router and they don't work with that either. 2 laptops don't connect through two routers. Where is the fault?

The laptops are fine so not at fault but did you use the LAN cable to see if the wifi is signalling correctly(ie wifi must be set on in your router)? is your laptop able to "find" and not connect is that what you mean?

Don't forget to answer the question: Do you get a signal at all? Is it strong enough? Did you change the channels to less frequently used?
