Hi, i am experiencing recent bluescreens on my laptop. They seem to appear more often when playing games, but rarely when i am not as well. When playing games they usually happen between a 1 minute to 20 minute frequency. I have installed a few new things lately, like updating to the recent NVIDIA GeForce driver, java, Intel and also installing a few games such as X Rebirth, Grim Dawn and the Bioshock Infinite adon. I dont think any of these updates are related to my issues, but i dont know.

When BlueScreen appears this is the error message written on it:

Stop: 0x00000116 (0xFFFFA80104B44EO, 0XFFFFF8800FE4B074, 0xFFFFFFFFC000009A, 0X0000000000000004)

Any help would be appreciated and rewarded with cake and a +1 internet!

UPDATE:

Additional information:

This also appears:

DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

I will google this and try to fix it myself, but any input would be more than welcome :)

UPDATE. 2:

I manally updated some "automatic" windows updates, disabled windows defender (which seemed to really really want to be the THE antivirus allthough i got windows s. essentials) and none of this worked.

I am now going to uninstall Adobe Reader X (10.1.8) which i installed about the time the issues started... hold your breath people.

UPDATE. 3:

That did not work (i thought it had, i played almost twice as long as usual before BSOD)

I am now going to try and manually install the newest intel driver since Windows Update seem unable to install it on its own, maybe that will help.

SOLVED! This is a "Solution" of sorts for "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding" which usually recover on its own but in my case always caused a BSOD!

Disclaimer: This does not fix the freezes (which in my case are short and far between and thus does not bother me) but it stops them causing a BSOD. In essence, i cure the symptoms but not the problem.

So, the freezes cause the computer to think that your driver is not responding due to low FPS and after a set ammout of time with no response the computer shuts down (or recovers if the driver responds within this time) as a safety mechanism of sorts. What the solution is, is simply to either lengthen the wait-time or to remove this mechanism completely. (I think this is called "Timeout detection and recovery" )

1. Go to registry editor (start -> run -> regedit)
2. Navigate yourself to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetControlGraphicsDrivers (make sure GraphicsDrivers is highlighted).
3. Right click -> New -> DWORD (32-bit) value -> Name it: TdrLevelOff
4: Double click it and set the value to 0.

PS: I am a complete datanoob, i did this by EXTENSIVE trial and error and by reading a LOT of different forums. I apologize if my explanations are either wrong or difficult to understand (as i dont think i do it completely myself).
