I'm going to make my first custom built PC and i need help with components....

Soo feel free to give opinions about my build and what to change :)  (For gaming)

Intel Core i7 3770k
AMD Radeon R9 270X
8 GB
ASRock Z77M / Asus H61MPRO
1 TB WD Caviar Black
500W PSU
Rosewill Line-M

id drop the CPu to an i5 3570k if you are set on z77. Whats your budget?

You're not being really helpful for someone asking for directions.

That said, you can downgrade the CPU to the i5 3570k and with the $100 extra upgrade the GPU to a R9 280x.

Get the z77 motherboard, not the h61.

Also, you list 8GB of RAM and 500W PSU as the brands didn't matter, they do, and especially you don't want to skimp on the PSU as an unreliable one can fry an entire system.

Too much processor, too little GPU, its way out of balance. I would build a haswell based rig too. use a Z87 board and a I5 or 7 4XXX processor. they are faster and only a few bucks more anymore
