Asus Maximus vi Hero PCIe slots bandwidth

I have been trying to look at as much information as possible about this motherboard, I noticed on their website at the bottom of the spec page, that the PCIe x1 slots will be disabled if the PCIe 2.0 x16 slot is under x4 speed, but I will be using the PCIe x1 slot for a networking card and won't be using the PCIe 2.0 x16 slot, so what would be a solution for this? Or am I looking at this the wrong way??

As I understand, if installing a graphics card (or x4 card) in the x4 slot, the x1 slots are disabled. "operates under x4 speed" meaning operates at x4 speed.
Since not using the x4 slot, you can install the LAN card in one of the x1 slots.
