I purchased the above HP notebook 6 months ago and have grown to hate Windows 8 with a passion. I knew for a rookie like me it would be difficult to "downgrade" from 8 to 7 ultimate, but Microsoft was kind enough to accept my order for windows 7 ultimate and then advise me 3 weeks later when I called them, that they had no windows 7 products available and did not anticipate getting any. I went online, found and purchased Windows 7 Ultimate retail in a matter of 30 minutes for less that MS had quoted me for Windows 7 Pro.
I got HP technical help to get through the Bios issue and was able to load the Win 7 program.
Now, however, without the drivers for this software, which Microsoft no longer supports, of course...I am dead in the water.
If this notebook was so expensive and loaded with a huge hard drive, 16 Gig of memory etc, I would have taken a loss selling it and bought one with Win 7.
Can anyone help with drivers for this HP ENVY dv7t quad edition? Thanks
