I recently purchased a new computer consisting of:
Windows:Windows 7 ultimate
CPU: Z77-D3H
GPU: AMD SAPPHIRE R9-280X VAPOR-X
PSU: SUPER FLOWER 600W
MEMORY: 2X4GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE
SSD: PLEXTOR PRO 128GB
HDD: 1TB
HEATSINK: STOCK
FANS: 3 SILENT FANS
I was wondering why my GPU has this minor tick/buzz/ring sound when idle and slightly noticeable while playing games. Sorry for the vague explanation but i have no other ways to explain this.
Really would like any help that i can get, thanks.
P.S: While playing guild wars 2 i noticed slight blue flickerings(Quite small) .

It's called coil whine. Lots of cards do it and there's really no way to tell if a card will do it or not. Usually it goes away. One of my cards whined for awhile and then it just stopped. It also happened to one (or both) of my old HD 4870s. Again, it just stopped on its own. I think it happens when the card is getting used to heating up and cooling off. Once it's "broken in" so to speak, it usually stops. If it goes on for more than a week, take the card back for a replacement.
