When on a browser, sometimes in a game, my screen will jump about an inch up and down. It is fast, but slow enough to notice. I heard this was a problem with the new r9 series of cards (due to bios maybe?). Not sure what to do about this, any suggestions? :(

I'm sure Gigabyte will have some sort of solution to this problem. If you feel like it, go ahead and contact their support for further trouble shooting.

You could try looking around some more online, as there might be someone else with the same problem that was able to solve it.

Try following the steps that I suggested to Sparta, and see if you can find a fix for your particular card.

Updating did fix the problem, however performance in BF4 and other games has decreased significantly. Reverting back to old drivers. Can't have everything I guess.

I also still have flickering in 13.12 Catalyst drivers with Sapphire Dual-X R9 270X. So you are not the only one. Hopefully the next catalyst driver release will address problem.

I too switched from nvidia to amd this time but I got an msi 270x. No flickering problems but I am having to drivers crash on me in rome 2 and crysis. All the other games are stable. Never had problems with nvidia drivers and really hoping amd fixes these issues.

I am not running any OC, only the factory OC to 1120. Anything above that and its gets unstable in every game.

Same problem with R9 270x Toxic Boost. I have also tried older drivers and beta drivers but problem persisted. Flickering only occurs when i am playing games
