As some ground shaking events going on these days in Graphic card technology which makes me hard to choose what card to purchase either AMD or Nvidia.

I do some animation and designing work in Blender 3d software and adobe suite. I know nvidia currently supports very well but still i think AMD can do the trick for me.

opencl is currently on hold in blender but amd seems very powerful in opencl rendering(luxmark benchmarks) and i can see how fast AMD is growing (nvidia is on defense mode now) also heard about mantle which is awesome and looks promising to me.

So which card should i get ??
AMD r9 270x or
Nvidia gtx 760
Also I want to play AAA tittles in ultra settings on full HD.

Solution
The Radeon R9 270X is a small bit (about 2%) more effective at anti-aliasing than the Geforce GTX 760, and also should be able to handle higher screen resolutions more effectively. Other than that, they are both statistically equal. I'd get the R9 because of this and it's cheaper :p

Ok cuda is used on many softwares and it's stable but i do want to see what opencl and mantle can show there true price/performance ratio.
I know AMD offers less priced products as compared to there compititors NVIDIA but still nvidia rules the arena on software support but than Mantle gets my attention..damn technology.

Mantle really doesn't have numbers backing it, and by what i've read, It took 6 million dollars to implement it into frostbites BF4. The only way it is truly going to get adopted is if nvidia chooses to take advantage of it- (which i doubt.)

Mantle is DOA in my opinion, but you can't see into the future.

Nvidia has better coolers, but amd should have some aftermarket coolers for their cards.

FYI This is coming from a guy who has the r9 290. :/

thnx for the reply. Today i got my r9 270x and this thing rocks.

I joined red team because i think they are bringing some good features in the gaming industry while nvidia got no words to say(yes they havn't said yet).
